As we continue our journey across Eastern North Carolina this summer, our goal remains the same. We want to make sure students are prepared for success. On August 21, we brought our backpack giveaway tour to Washington County Middle School. The energy and kindness we experienced there made it a day to remember.
An incredible response
We had a huge turnout at Washington County Middle School. It was inspiring to see so many families eager to get the school year started on the right foot. We were happy to provide backpacks filled with supplies to help lighten the load for parents and give students the tools they need for their classes.
Friends old and new
The people made the event truly special. We met some great folks and an amazing school staff. The dedication of the teachers and administrators at Washington County Middle School is evident. They clearly care deeply about the wellbeing and education of every child who walks through their doors.
We even ran into a few former clients who jumped right in to help. It was a touching moment for our team. Seeing past clients roll up their sleeves to volunteer alongside us was a highlight of the day. It reinforced that our relationship with the community goes far beyond legal services. We are neighbors helping neighbors.
Stronger together
It was a wonderful day and a great example of the community coming together. When we support our schools and our children, we are building a better future for everyone.
We want to thank the staff at Washington County Middle School for hosting us. We also thank everyone who attended and helped out. To the students, we wish you a fantastic 2025 school year full of learning and fun.
